India sees 90,000 new cases of oral cancer every year
Oral cancer is one of the most common cancers in India with ~50% of the diagnosed succumbing to the cancer due to lack of early detection. Oral cancer is more rampant in rural regions, which on the contrary suffer from severe lack of dentists. Conventional methods involve clinical examination and biopsies which are painful, often lead to false negatives and thus loss of critical time.
Pain-free, early screening through OralScan
OralScan is a hand-held multispectral imaging camera for non-invasive identification of precancerous lesions in the oral cavity, even before performing biopsy. The device is portable, pain-free and requires minimal training. Each scan can cost as low as INR 200 – saving patients from multiple painstaking biopsy procedures, expenses, travel and time.
