India struggles with healthcare and workforce shortage
It is estimated that in India there are only 1.9 million hospital beds and 95k ICU beds for a population of ~1.4 billion. What’s worse is most of the beds are concentrated in the private sector, with substantial variation in available resources across states. Additionally, India faces a significant shortage of nurses – roughly 40% below the WHO standards. Inadequate manual checks by nurses, lack of availability of critical care units after surgery and inability to ensure regular monitoring results in numerous cases of casualties.
Dozee's enhanced patient safety with contactless remote monitoring and early warning system
Dozee is a contact-free, AI-backed, remote monitoring (RMS) and early warning system (EWS) that provides customizable and timely alerts to healthcare staff and patient’s family- minimizing the risk of deaths for patients undergoing critical care. An FDA approved solution, Dozee is essentially a sensor sheet designed on the concept of ‘Ballistocardiography’ – inserted under the mattress of the patient which captures vital patient data across parameters like heart rate, respiration rate, heart rate variability, oxygen saturation levels, and is also the world’s first non-contact blood pressure measurement system. Dozee’s artificial intelligence algorithms allow early warning risk prediction creating a powerful combination of healthcare staff and AI to ensure zero casualties.
