Cofunded in 2017 by the Indian quartet, Genrobotics makes a robot scavenger called Bandicoot to replace human work in cleaning up clogged sewers and other robotic devices for cleaning confined spaces and skyscraper facades. Despite being declared illegal, sewer cleaning is still done manually in many parts of India, resulting in deaths. Bandicoot has been deployed in 18 states of India, and Genrobotics trained the human it replaced to become robot operators.
